This policy explains what information we collect when you read craftkids.academy, why we collect it, who helps us run the site, and what you can ask us to do with your data. CraftKids Academy is a blog with ideas and articles for teachers and parents; we do not sell products on this site and you do not need an account to read it.

Who is responsible for your data
Kwiecien Academy Mateusz Kwiecien, ul. Pszczelna 40a/17, 30-431 Krakow, Poland. Questions and privacy requests: [email protected].
What we collect
- Messages you send us — your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write, so we can answer and refer back to the conversation.
- Usage data — pages you visit, how you reached the site, approximate location (country or region), device and browser type. We use it in aggregated form to understand which articles are useful.
- Advertising data — cookie identifiers, IP address and similar data that Google and its advertising partners use to show and measure ads (see “Advertising” below).
- Technical logs — our hosting provider and security service automatically record IP addresses and request details to keep the site running and protect it from attacks.
We do not ask for and do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The site is written for adults — teachers and parents.
Why we use it
- to answer your messages (our legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f));
- to measure traffic and improve our articles (your consent where the law requires it, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a));
- to show ads that keep the articles free (your consent for personalised ads, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a));
- to keep the site secure and working (our legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Who we share it with
- Hostinger — website hosting;
- Cloudflare — content delivery and security;
- Google (Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC) — Google Analytics and Google Search Console, to see traffic and search performance;
- Google and Google’s advertising partners — to show and measure ads through Google AdSense;
- public authorities, only when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Under some US state laws, allowing advertising partners to use data for targeted ads can count as “selling” or “sharing” — you can opt out as described below.
International transfers
We are based in Poland and some of our providers are based in the United States, so your data may be processed in both. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Emails are kept for up to two years after the conversation ends. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months and then used only in aggregated form. Advertising cookies are kept for the periods set by Google and its partners, and you can delete them at any time in your browser.
Advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense to keep our articles free. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure results and, where the law allows or you agree, show ads based on your interests. Learn more on Google’s page How Google uses cookies in advertising, and turn off personalised ads in Google Ad Settings.
Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message from Google (IAB TCF) on their first visit. You can accept, refuse or choose individual purposes and partners, and change your choice at any time through the privacy settings link shown on the site. Without consent, Google may still show non-personalised ads based on the page content.
Visitors in US states with privacy laws (such as California) can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising through the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link shown on the site.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files your browser stores. We use:
- essential cookies — needed for security and to remember your privacy choices;
- analytics cookies — Google Analytics, to count visits and see which articles are read;
- advertising cookies — Google AdSense and its partners, as described above.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Your rights
Everyone: you can ask us what data we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to [email protected]; we answer within 30 days.
EEA and UK visitors also have the right to restrict processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to a data protection authority — in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
California and other US state residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising, and not to be treated differently for using these rights.
Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), is protected by Cloudflare, and only authorised people can access the data we hold.
Changes
We may update this policy when we change the tools we use or when the law changes. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
