Description
How to use it: Canning Jars Cutting Practice
In short: jars plus fruit and vegetables to cut out and arrange. Ages 3-7. PDF download – prints on US Letter or A4.
Scissor practice is easier to sell when it produces something. Here the cutting has a destination: an empty jar that fills up with plums, pears and cucumbers as the child works. Two versions of the produce mean you can hand the simpler shapes to a three-year-old and the fiddlier ones to a child who has been cutting for a year.

Questions teachers ask
Is it too hard for three-year-olds?
Not with the simpler version of the shapes – that is exactly why both are included.
Do children color it too?
They can. The shapes are line art, so coloring first and cutting after works well.
Can I print it every year?
Yes. Your license covers unlimited printing for your own classroom or family.
