How to use it: Dot Detective Hunt
In short: 7 paper magnifying glasses plus dot cards to hide around the room. Ages 3-9. PDF download – prints on US Letter or A4.
Give a child a magnifying glass and the whole room becomes worth examining. You hide the dot cards – on a shelf, under a chair, half behind the door – and the detectives go looking. Where you hide them is the entire difficulty setting, which is why the same set works for a three-year-old and a third grader on the same afternoon.

No – they are paper props. The looking is the point, and for this age group a paper frame does the job perfectly.
How long does the activity run?
Usually 15 to 20 minutes, longer if you hide the cards again for a second group.
